Floyd was a true friend, we shared a lot of common experiences and interests. He was one of those people that even if you hadn't seen each other for a long while, when you did it was just like it had been yesterday! he will be sorely missed by all who new him!
God speed brother !!!

What a great man Floyd was. I’ll miss his stories. I’ll miss watching the videos he’d excitedly share of his granddaughter playing hockey. I’ll miss the way he always volunteered to help in whatever way he could. While I’m devastated at this tremendous loss for our community, I’m mostly grateful. Grateful for the opportunity to have known Floyd, and honored to have considered him a friend.

Floyd was a pleasure to work with. We both worked First Platoon for our respective agencies and when we needed something Floyd was the first call I made and he was always willing to help. Once he retired from the Webster PD we quickly hired him as First Platoon support staff for the Irondequoit PD and he was a great asset for us. I admired his dedication and commitment to public safety and all the good that he did for others. He served with honor and distinction. RIP brother

Floyd was a great person to work with. We interacted many times over the years while he was working in Webster and I was working in Irondequoit . . A real common sense and genuine individual. I remember fondly one of his sayings. “ You catch em you clean em”
Rest in peace brother. Lt. Michael DiGiovanni , IPD

Floyd was in our Academy class in 1981. Like Barry V. said, he was a Cops Cop. In the Academy, he was one of the older guys who was the voice of reason and kept us young bucks in check. A true gentleman who always did the right thing. His family can be very proud of him and his stellar reputation. Rest in Peace Brother….

What an amazing guy Floyd was. A kind but common sense cop who would do what he needed to do to keep the public safe and arrest those who needed it. Once I was trying to chase a car into Webster but they had a big lead and i had little chance catching them as they were east on 104. Next thing I knew Floyd called me and said "meet me on Bay Rd". When I arrived there was Floyd standing immediately in the middle of the road and in front of the car displaying some equipment that pursuaded them to stop and put their hands up. He was truly a "cops cop." I'll miss him...
