Obituary of David Michael Messuro

David Michael Messuro passed away unexpectedly on May 23, 2022 at the age of 63. He was born on October 12, 1958 in Rochester, NY where he lived and worked most of his life until he moved to Dallas, Texas in 2013.  David’s passion and lifelong career was in the construction industry. His craftsmanship, creativity and innovation supported thousands of projects in over 50 years in the business. 

David was a fiercely loyal and hardworking man who made people laugh with his unpredictable and charismatic ways. He loved his family, friends and his dog, Jackson, with his whole heart and soul. He was preceded in death by his parents Dick and Barbara Messuro, his paternal grandparents Diego and Helen Messuro, his maternal grandparents Stanley and Margaret Landry, and his four-legged friends TJ and Maddy.  He is survived by his son Michail, his siblings Michael (Marianne) Messuro, Kathy Messuro, and Lisa (Jason) Floreano, John Turner and Brian Turner; his ex-wife Deborah and children Heather, Christopher and Shane. He is also survived by his nieces/nephews Jeff, Elena, Nick, Madison, Anna and Brayden; his uncle/aunt George and Carole Landry; many wonderful cousins and close friends; and lastly, his beloved canine companion, Jackson.  

Friends and family are invited to attend A Celebration of David’s Life from 5-8pm on June 1, 2022 at Red Fedele’s Brook House, 920 Elmridge Center Drive, Rochester, NY 14626. A private burial will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in David’s memory to Dallas Animal Services, an animal shelter in Dallas, Texas.
