Obituary of Gordon E. Semmler

          Webster: Passed peacefully on Friday, August 6, 2021 at home on the family farm, where he had lived his entire 90 years.  Predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary Jane; one brother, Edward; 3 sisters, Luella Sharp, Evelyn Middleton and Thelma VanderMallie.  Left to remember him are his children, Kathy Rivera and her husband Ted, Karen Semmler-Reiber, John Semmler and his wife Debra; grandchildren, Marcie (Tom) Pargeter, Chris (Taylor) Rivera, Bill (Amanda) Semmler, Robert (Melissa) Semmler, Bryan (Trish) Reiber and Kylie (Ryan) Parsons;  great-grandchildren, Coralyn, Regan and Troy Semmler and Paisley Reiber;  sisters-in-Law Judi (Denny) Gent and Linda Stritzel and many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.

          Gordon was a life member of the West Webster Volunteer Fire Department and a charter member of the Webster Area Exempts.

          Friends may call 4-8 PM, Monday, August 9, at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Avenue, Webster.  Funeral Service at 10 AM, Tuesday, August 10 at Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 1130 Webster Road (corner of Route 250 and State Road), Webster.  Interment, Webster Rural Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the West Webster Volunteer Fireman’s Association, 1051 Gravel Road, Webster, NY 14580 or the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd (Memorial Fund), 1130 Webster Road, Webster, NY  14580.
