Caroline P. Paddock, 97, of South Burlington, VT died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Gazebo North Senior Living. She was born July 11, 1923 in Rochester, NY, daughter of the late Elizabeth Allison Baybutt Pierce and the late Louis Sellinger Pierce.
Mrs. Paddock moved to the Burlington area in 2014 from North Myrtle Beach, SC. She was a founding member of the Mistletoe Twig of Rochester General Hospital (1947-2020). She retired from Eastman Kodak Credit Department in Rochester NY in 1984 and moved to North Myrtle Beach area. There she became active in the St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church serving as usher and helping out in many Church activities including the rummage sale until she moved to Burlington, VT. All her life she enjoyed gardening becoming a life time member of Yaupon Garden Club and the Garden Club of South Carolina. She enjoyed time with family, her luncheon group at the Surf Club in North Myrtle Beach and her many other friends.
She was a graduate of University of Rochester and a member of the Theta Eta Sorority.
She is preceded in death by her Husband Harold, her sister Mary Ann Sunderlin, and her brother Horace G. Pierce. Surviving are her son, Jeffry R. Paddock and daughter–in-law Elizabeth Peacock of Golden, CO, and her daughter, Carolyn A. Paddock-Moore and son-in-Law William Moore of Underhill, VT.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Webster NY on a future date, to be determined. After the service she will be buried at the Webster Union Cemetery, Webster, NY alongside her husband, Harold Paddock.
A Memorial Service for the Life of Caroline Pierce Paddock, Saturday July 24th, 2021 at 1PM at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd Webster NY. The family will greet friends immediately after the service, and her Burial Service at Webster Union Cemetery will follow at 2:30PM. Friends and family are invited to attend both at church and the cemetery.
