Obituary of Christina M. McKenna

McKenna, Christina Margaret "Ena" Born July 17, 1927 and died July 25, 2016 one week after her 89th birthday and 3 days past her 66th wedding anniversary. She was devoted to her family and her Catholic faith. She was a woman of courage who left Scotland with 4 young children on December 17, 1960 for a new life in New York. She quickly settled in and was active in the Girl Scouts where she became President for both NYS Girl Scouts and the Girl Scouts of Genesee Valley Rochester Council for many years. She was active at Holy Trinity Church, for 50 years, serving in many roles over the years but was especially proud of being a substitute teacher, Parish Council President, and an active member of the Legion of Mary Holy Trinity Comitium. Predeceased by her son, James, her parents and siblings; Margaret West and James McCluskey; son-in-law, Tom Woods. She will be missed by her devoted husband, Andrew; children, John (Linda), Patricia (Jim) & Mary; daughter-in-law, Kerin; grandchildren, Adriane, Bryan, James, Lindsay, Matthew, Eric, Andrew & Jaime; great-grandson, Merrick; many friends and relatives. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday at Holy Trinity Church, 1460 Ridge Rd., Webster, NY 14580. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery. Requiescat in pace
