Obituary of Patricia M. Menz

Webster: Pat passed peacefully into heaven on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.  Beloved wife of Robert F. Menz, with whom she shared 64 beautiful years.  Loving mother of 12 children, three who preceded her to heaven:  Mary Gossin, Edward Menz and Joan Batten. (Joan will be remembered at this service, having passed on June 7, 2017)  Survived by devoted daughter, Kathryn (William) Woodard;  loving sons, Robert (Mary), Thomas, John, Esq. (Nina Sankovitch, Esq), Dr. Richard (Anne Marie), James (Lori), Martin (Traci), Dr. Michael (Melinda), David, Esq. (Patricia);  loving sons-in-law, William Gossin and Thomas Batten;  cherished grandmother to Bryan (Cindy Padera) and Angelica Woodard, Timothy (Stacey) MacTurk, Jillian (Charles) Evans, Sean (Dr. Sarah), Sheila, Esq. and Siobhan Menz, Beau and Natalie Batten, Dr. Meredith Menz (Dr. Timothy Donegan), Peter, Michael, George, and Martin Menz, Kate, Adam, Ryan, and Aubrey Menz, Alex and Kyle Menz, Zachary, Noah, Jacob, Madeleine Menz, Sarah and Max Menz, Frank and Audrey Menz; beloved great-grandmother to 8, Grace, Brenna, Harper MacTurk, Mary and Ethan Evans, Olivia, Brendan, and William Menz; cherished sister to Mary Ellen (Henry) Kane and loving sister-in-law to Betty Kruppenbacher and the late Gerald, Frank and Georgianne Menz, Gerald and Elsie Menz, and the late Mary and Frank Simmons.

Pat devoted her life to raising and loving her family (immediate and extended) to the last days of her life. She embraced her joy of life to the end and the family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff and volunteers of Webster Comfort Care Home and Lifetime Care – mom’s “angels” and “archangels” provided loving and compassionate care throughout the last months of mom’s illness.

The celebration of Pat’s life will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, March 10 at Spiritus Christi Church, 121 N. Fitzhugh St., Rochester, NY 14614. Private interment at Webster Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Webster Comfort Care Home, 700 Holt Rd., Webster, NY 14580, or Spiritus Christi Church.
