Obituary of John Emmett Shaw

Webster/Walworth NY 3/8/1967- 1/30/2106. At 48 years old, Jack is predeceased by his parents Kitty and Bill Shaw of Webster. He is survived by his brothers and sisters; Bill (Lori) Shaw, Duffy (Cindy) Shaw, Michele Shaw, Michael (Lori) Shaw and Eileen (Steve) Nowak, many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. In September of 2014, Jack was diagnosed with ALS. Throughout the progression of his disease he was supported by people who went above and beyond. The family would like to thank Natasha Kurowski and James Pecora for helping him transition through the early stages, all his friends and family as well as community members who participated in his benefit to help with medical expenses, Dr. Charles Thornton and his staff at Strong and the staff at Monroe Community Hospital Friendship 2 East. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Masonic Service Bureau 979 Bay Rd. Webster, NY 14580 or to Beamer Hughes Foundation 353 Widgedon Landing Hilton NY 14468. At Jack's request no religious funeral service will be held. On February 8, 2016, a celebration of Jack's life will be held at the Webster Columbus Center 70 Barrett Dr. Webster NY where a time of calling will be from 1:00-2:00 pm and a celebration of his life will be immediately following.
