Our Dad was a proud Army veteran who served his country during WWII, being the first wave of soldiers to hit Normandy Beach. He was decorated for his service, including the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Married to his loving wife Elia for 65 years, they instilled in their children and grandchildren a deep love for family. We shared many Sunday dinners filled with delicious food and much laughter and stories about their upbringing. Dad was always ready to help his family and friends with any project that needed to be done. He retired from Xerox where he worked for over 40 years and made lifelong friends that still meet weekly for breakfast to reminisce about old times.
